Arthur W. Stancombe, Jr.

Gilmanton Iron Works----Arthur W. Stancombe, Jr., 62, of 35 Anderson Road, died at his home on Monday, February 19, 2007.

Mr. Stancombe was born May 5, 1944 in Lowell, MA, the son of Helene (Marzano) and Arthur W. Stancombe, Sr. 

Mr. Stancombe served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later served in the U. S. Army. He lived in Lowell, Mass. for many years before moving to New Hampshire eight years ago.  He was employed as a quality consultant for Parexel International in Lowell for twenty-five years, retiring in May, 2006.

Mr. Stancombe was a member of the Gilmanton Community Church.

Mr. Stancombe was a member of the Heart of New England Chihuahua Club, the Chihuahua Club of America and Lakes Region Kennel Club.  He enjoyed gourmet cooking and showing dogs, mainly Chihuahuas.   

Survivors include his wife, Judith (Cunliffe) McIntire-Stancombe, of Gilmanton Iron Works; two sons, Boyd Stancombe and David Stancombe both of Georgia; three daughters, Selene Radke of North Dakota and Lenora Beaudoin of New Hampshire and Faith Stancombe of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Jane Sanborn of Gilmanton; a stepson, James P. McIntire of Gilford; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three nieces.  He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 3:00PM at the N. H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.  Rev. John Davies, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the Heart of New England Chihuahua Club, 254 London Road, Westmoreland, NH 03467.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
