Robert J. Lacroix

Laconia-----Robert J. Lacroix, SSgt. Retired, 73, of 30 County Drive and previously of 57 Tyler Street, Apt 406, Nashua, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, on Sunday, February 25, 2007.

Mr. Lacroix was born April 4, 1933 in Laconia, NH, the son of Lucien A. and Florence B. (Brady) Lacroix.

Mr. Lacroix was raised in Laconia.  He attended St. John’s School and graduated from Laconia High School in 1951. 

Mr. Lacroix served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He lived in Nashua for many years before returning to Laconia in 2006.  He was employed at Batesville Casket Co.  for sixteen years, retiring in 1998.

Mr. Lacroix was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.  He was a member of the Nashua Social Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.  He enjoyed playing cribbage and poker and enjoyed the four seasons of sports, baseball, football, basketball and hockey.

Survivors include his brother, Paul E. LaCroix, Sr. of Laconia and several nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Albert and by two sisters, Marie and Lorraine.

According to his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

A Spring Committal Service will be held at the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home, Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
