Muriel S. Heintz

Laconia----Muriel S. Heintz, 71, of 13B Crestview Lane, died on February 6, 2007 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.   

Muriel, much beloved wife and mother, was born on August 19, 1935 in Lowell, MA to Reginald and Helen (Lindsay) Stote.  She attended Nashua Senior High School in Nashua NH and graduated from Green Mountain College of Poultney Vt.

Muriel lived for several years in Cambridge, MA, working as a teacher at the John Robert Power’s Institute on Newbury St. in Boston and at Berkshire Publishing and the Educational Advisory Center in Harvard Square.  After focusing on raising her two children, she returned to work as a recruiter for TAC Temps in Nashua.

Muriel lived with her family in Nashua for 35 years, then permanently moved to their homes in Laconia, NH and Barbados, W.I.  While in Nashua, Muriel was an active member of the First Congregational Church U.C.C serving as a Volunteer, Deaconess and Choir Mother.  She was active with the Community Concerts Association for over 45 years, starting in high school, eventually serving on the Board of Directors.  She was also named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International.  She enjoyed looking over Lake Winnipesaukee in the summer and the warmth of Barbados in the winter months.

Muriel is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, William H. Heintz, Jr.; her two daughters, Jennifer Stritzinger of Narragansett, RI and Lora Britko of Norton, MA; four grandchildren, Derek and Brayden Stritzinger both of Rhode Island and Amanda and Alyssa Britko both of Massachusetts; her brother, Robert Stote, and his wife, Joyce, of Milford, NH; three nieces and a nephew.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb 10, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Congregational Church of Laconia, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH.  Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rte 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03101.
