Michael Louis Amalfitano

N. H./FL----Michael Louis Amalfitano, of Gilford, New Hampshire and Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away unexpectedly December 13, 2009. He was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. He was the son of Louis Amalfitano and Charlotte Serafin.

Michael is predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Albano Amalfitano, and is survived by his current wife of 8 years, Cheri Travis Amalfitano, his three daughters; Gina Feeley and her husband, Paul, and their two children, Dara and Michael, Maria Kirkeeng, and her husband, Todd, and their two children, Elizabeth and Charlotte, and Lisa LaChapelle and her husband, Dickie, and their two children, Craig and Jake. He also has several nieces and nephews.

Michael was the President and Owner of Polyclad Laminates, until his retirement. He continued to own and operate several businesses in both New Hampshire and Florida.

He enjoyed being on the lake in his Chris Craft, the “Liz”, snowmobiling, jet skiing, cooking, and he was also a racecar enthusiast. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 300 N.H. Rte 25, Meredith, NH.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Laconia Salvation Army, 177 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
