Valerie T. (Cilley) Morrison

Lebanon-----Valerie T. (Cilley) Morrison, 56, of Quail Hollow, Rt 10, West Lebanon, NH, died at her home on Thursday, December 6, 2007.

Mrs. Morrison was born September 14, 1951 in Grassmere (now Goffstown), NH, the daughter of Richard and Sylvia (Fairfield) Cilley.   Mrs. Morrison attended elementary school, grades 1-4, in Francestown, NH, and grades 5-8 in Gilford, NH,  She attended Laconia High School, graduating in 1969.  She then attended Plymouth State College where she majored in Art.

Mrs. Morrison was formerly employed at the Laconia State School and Training Center and also was employed at J. Jill.

Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Church’s choir.  She was also a member of the Pemigewasset Choral Society for over eighteen years.

Mrs. Morrison loved flowers, gardening and all animals, especially cats and also loved the outdoors, swimming, skiing and skating.  She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, needlepoint and crocheting.  She was famous for her crocheted “snowflakes”.  She loved children and they all loved her.

Survivors include her twin children, Tamesin Marie Morrison and Michael Scott Morrison, both of Laconia; her father and stepmother, Richard & Jeri Cilley, of Francestown; a sister and brother-in-law, Lauren E. and Christopher M. Clark, of Ashland; a brother, Alan Chandler Cilley, of Belmont; several nieces and nephews and the Morrison Family of Sanbornton.  She was predeceased by her mother, Sylvia (Fairfield) Cilley, on December 11, 1987 and by a brother, Davin Cilley, on September 19, 2002.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 4:00PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1242 Old North Main Street, Laconia, NH.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
