Anita Lea Montminy

Laconia, NH-----Anita Lea Montminy, 84, of 10 Cinnamon Lane, died on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Ledges in the Taylor Community.

Born in Berlin, NH on June 18, 1923, she was the daughter of Joseph Samuel and Antonia (Bedard) Lemieux.  She was a graduate of St. Regis Academy and Berlin High School.  She had been a communicant of St. Anne Church, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society and a member of the Berlin Women’s Club while living in Berlin prior to relocating to Hudson, NH in 1966 where she lived for 26 years.  She retired to the Ledges in the Taylor Community in 1993.  In Laconia she was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church.

She was a Homemaker most of her life but had been employed, as a Proofreader, at the Geometrics Corp. in West Haven, Connecticut and as a Secretary at Smith and Town Printers, Berlin NH.  She was a talented artist and enjoyed arts, crafts and reading.

Family members include her husband Edward J. Montminy of Laconia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and David Wilbur, of Hingham Massachusetts, Louise and Eugene Rivard, of Surprise, Arizona, and Claire and Robert Shean of Derwood, Maryland;  one daughter-in-law Marcia Montminy of Rochester, NH, as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Aline and Rene Croteau, of Rochester, NH; one brother and sister-in-law, Jean-Guy and Priscilla (Morin) Lemieux, of San Jose, California and several nieces and nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by a son Paul E. Montminy in June 2007.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 2:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10:00AM with the Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps, Pastor of the church officiating.

Burial will be in the family lot in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Berlin, NH.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sunshine Fund of the Taylor Community, 435 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH, 03246.
