Michael J. Lavallee, Sr.

Tilton-----Michael J. Lavallee, Sr., 63, of 35 Noyes Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, December 6, 2007.

Mr. Lavallee was born July 14, 1944 in Laconia, N. H., the son of Arthur and Irene (Gagne) Lavallee.  He was raised in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1962.  He had been a resident of Tilton for the past twenty-six years. 

Mr. Lavallee was a firefighter for the City of Laconia for five years, retiring in 1975.  In 1987, he was employed as a Corrections Officer for the State of New Hampshire, stationed at the Lakes Region Facility, until retiring in 2003.

Mr.  Lavallee was a family man.  He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Irene (Jenot) Lavallee, of Tilton; a son, Michael J. Lavallee, Jr. of Goffstown and several nephews and nieces.   In addition to his parents, he  was predeceased by a brother, Richard Lavallee, in 2003 and by a sister, Theresa Joy, in 2006.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from Noon to 1:00PM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00PM also at the Church.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
