 “FAMILY IS EVERYTHING”

Laconia. NH---Nora A. Cronin, 89, of 406 Court Street, died at the Saint Francis Healthcare Center on Sunday, December 30, 2007.  Mrs. Cronin was the widow of Christopher M. Cronin who died in 1992.

Mrs. Cronin was born February 28, 1918 in Somerville, MA, the daughter of Patrick and Margaret (Galvin) Desmond.  She was raised and educated at Somerville High School where she excelled in drama and later moved to Cambridge, MA.  She was employed at Gorin’s Department Stores in Boston, Mass. for many years.  In 1991, she moved to Laconia.

Mrs. Cronin was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. 

Mrs. Cronin loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her loving daughter and son-in-law, Sheila C. Sullivan and Daniel L. Sullivan of Belmont, NH;  three grandsons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Gayle Sullivan of Laconia, Scott and Allison Sullivan of  Gilford, NH, and Ryan and Angela Sullivan of Derry, NH.; 8 great grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Hannah, Maggie, Connor, Sophie,  Kate and Luke;  one nephew and three nieces.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cronin was predeceased by a son, Daniel J. Cronin, a brother, Timothy Desmond, and by four sisters, Margaret Brady, Anna Shea, Ellen Desmond, and Mary Dawson.

A Calling Hour will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from 9:30AM-10:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Healthcare Center Activities Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
