Dorothy May "Dot" Chesley

Campton-----Dorothy May “Dot” Chesley, 87, of Chesley Park, West Campton, died at the Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin on Sunday, December 23, 2007 after a brief illness.

Dot was born in Montpelier, Vt., May 2, 1920, the daughter of Frank O. and Persis Emma (Woodworth) Jangraw. She was the widow of Harold W. Chesley who died in October 2001.

Dot and her husband, Harold, owned and operated various food service establishments in Vermont before moving to Campton in 1968. Dot was employed at Waterville Valley Ski Area for several years.

Her passion was working alongside her husband as food concessionaires who were prominently known at New England Country Fairs, Festivals and Old Home Day events.

Above all, she cherished her family and will be fondly remembered for her generosity and loving ways by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Family includes sons; Gordon Chesley and wife, Evelyn, of Campton,  Ronald Chesley and wife, Sis, of Debary, FL., and Larry Chesley and wife, Caren, of Holderness; a daughter, Mary Ann Khoury, of Orlando, FL.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside service will be held at the Blair Cemetery in Campton, NH later in the spring.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, NHSPCA  (The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.
