 Kaylee Ann Cassavaugh

Tilton—Kaylee Ann Cassavaugh, age 15, died at home on December 15, 2007 after living courageously with cancer for more three years.

Kaylee was born at Elliot Hospital in Manchester but has lived her whole life in the Lakes Region. She first lived in Belmont and has lived in Tilton NH for several years. Kaylee graduated eighth grade from Winnisquam Regional Middle School and also attended school at Belmont Elementary and Faith Christian Academy.

Kaylee was lovingly welcomed into the world by Stacey and Carrie Cassavaugh and was sister to Joshua Rohelia and Jocelyn Cassavaugh.  Kaylee will also be greatly missed by her grandmothers, Ann Lamarche and Frances Cassavaugh, her aunts, Courtney Reagan, Colleen Condon, Debra Drake, and Linda Ruegg and by her uncles, Shawn Cassavaugh and David Drake.  Kaylee has one niece, Violet Dokus-Rohelia, as well as many cousins and great aunts and uncles.

Kaylee was active in many clubs, including show choir, youth leadership, chorus and various sports and drama.  She was passionate about music, the night sky and horses.  Kaylee had been a dancer since the age of three, and practiced Jazz, Pointe and Tap.  She loved children and animals and all forms of art.  Kaylee lived on Silver Lake and loved swimming, boating, tubing and snowmobiling.  She touched so many lives and will continue to impact those who knew her with memories of her carefree and adventurous nature.  Kaylee was not afraid to try new things, loved learning and effecting positive change.  She stood up for those who were teased or bullied and any kind of injustice. Kaylee was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and attended many different churches and religions.  She chose to be ultimately baptized at St. Joseph’s in Belmont, but also attended First Baptist Church of Belmont and Praise Assembly of God in Tilton.

Words cannot express the loss felt by those who knew and loved Kaylee.  She suffered much and complained little, all the while trying to soothe the worry, sadness and pain of those around her.  God bless and look after Kaylee, as she looked after all of us.
