Phyllis Ruth Chamberlain

 Sanbornton----Phyllis Ruth Chamberlain, 84, formerly of Sanbornton died on Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin after a long illness.  Mrs. Chamberlain was the widow of Charles Chamberlain who died in 1998 after fifty-eight years of marriage.

         Mrs. Chamberlain was born December 28, 1921 in East Candia, NH, the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Munroe) Currier. She lived in East Candia for forty-eight years, Gilmanton for twenty-nine years and in Sanbornton for four years before entering the Peabody Nursing Home in Franklin where she lived for almost four years.

         Mrs. Chamberlain worked many years for Sylvania in Manchester,   She was Past Nobel Grand of the Rebekah’s in Candia.  She was known for her singing and loved hunting, fishing and camping.

         Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Diane Chamberlain of Candia and Allan and Phyllis Chamberlain of Sanbornton; three grandchildren, Bruce Chamberlain and his wife, Angela, of Candia,  Tracey Boucher and her husband, Robert, of Manchester and Cassandra Reed and her husband, Shawn, of Deerfield and seven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Katrina and Jacob Chamberlain all of Candia, Nicholas Boucher of Manchester and Quinn and Addison Reed both of Deerfield.

         Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.

         A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Holbrook Cemetery, off High Street, Candia, NH.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Fruits Food Pantry, 322 Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton, NH 03269.

         Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
