Margaret "Betty" R. Stewart

Belmont, NH----Mrs. Margaret "Betty" R. Stewart, 82, of 37 Magnolia Lane, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH on Wednesday, December 3, 2003.

Mrs. Stewart was born February 13, 1921 in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of John T. and Rebecca (Baird) McLucas.

Mrs. Stewart graduated from Brighton (MA) High School and was a volunteer at the Florence Crittenton League. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Melrose, MA and lived in Wakefield, MA for several years before moving to Belmont, NH 1+ years ago.

Mrs. Stewart enjoyed dogs, bird watching, playing cards, singing, and reading mystery stories.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Descomb "Don" Stewart, of Belmont, NH; two daughters, Pamela J. Stewart of Brighton, MA; and Janice L. Stewart-Hibbard of Contoocook, NH; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Hibbard and Rebecca Hibbard, both of Contoocook, NH. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Lucas.

A Calling Hour will be held on Monday, December 8, 2003 from10:30AM to 11:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:30AM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 1:30PM in the family lot at Pine Hill Cemetery, 131 Central Avenue, Dover, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701
