Edson C. Berry

Laconia-----Mr. Edson C. Berry, 76, of 86 Jefferson Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, December 26, 2002. Mr. Berry was born April 23, 1926 in Moultonboro, NH, the son of Ernest L. & Emma A. (Hildreth) Berry.

Mr. Berry served in the U. S. Army during World War II. For several years, he worked for Scott & Williams and the N. H. Vocational School. He was a custodian at the Belknap County Court House, Laconia for seventeen years before retiring in 1994. He loved gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel C. (Lewis) Berry of Laconia; three daughters, April Nedeau of Belmont, NH, Lynne Berry of Laconia and Kathleen Johnson of Thornton, NH; four sons, Michael Berry of Laconia, Jeffrey Berry of Ossipee, NH, Gary Berry of Knightdale, NC, and Brian Berry of Barnstead; one stepson, Peter Cullen of Laconia and two stepdaughters, Gale Cullen of Belmont, NH and Ellen Cullen of Dedham, MA; 18 grandchildren; three great granddaughters; and many nephews and nieces..

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2002. from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Carolyn H. Keilig, Interim Associate Pastor of the Laconia Congregational Church, will officiate.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
