Ruth E. Cutting

Laconia——-Mrs. Ruth E. Cutting, 98, of 32 Wentworth Cove Road, died at the Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center for Wolfeboro on Thursday, April 4, 2002. Mrs. Cutting was the widow of George L. Cutting who died in 1990.

Mrs. Cutting was born August 25, 1903 in Milan, N. H., the daughter of Malona and Iona (Potter) Young. She lived in New London, NH for several years before moving to Laconia in 1942. She was a graduate of Plymouth Normal School and worked for the Laconia School System for many years. She was a teacher and principal at Mechanic Street School and Batchelder Street School. She retired in 1969 from the Belmont Elementary School, Belmont, NH and was a life time member of the N. H. Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Cutting was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church and was a member of O. E. S. for over 50 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Bette A. (Gard) Dudley of Laconia, NH; two grandchildren, Bruce M. Gard, Jr. and Steven J. Gard, both of Gilford, NH; four great grandchildren, Steven J. Gard, Jr., Andrew Lee Gard, Bruce M. Gard III and Jodi Gard.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2002 at 2:00 PM in Hill Crest Cemetery in Milan, NH. Rev. Robert Plaisted, pastor of the Milan United Methodist Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rev. Robert Schuller, Crystal Cathedral, PO Box 100, Garden Grove, CA 92642
