Mariolla Tekos Phyllides

Laconia———Mrs. Mariolla Tekos Phyllides, 91, of 8 Boulder Lane, Laconia, NH, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2002.

Mariolla Phyllides was born August 15, 1910 in Korce, Albania and immigrated to Manchester at the age of 10. She resided there until 1937 when she married Philip Phyllides. They made their home in Portsmouth until 1972 before moving to Echo Shores on Lake Winnipesaukee. In 1992 Mariolla and Philip moved to The Taylor Ledges where they lived together until her death. Mrs. Phyllides was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an enthusiastic gardener and a member of the Alton Garden Club. Survivors include her husband Philip, three daughters, Elaine Mavrikis, Joanne Phyllides and Susan Selkirk, her son-in-law, Rennie Selkirk, three grandchildren, Cheryl Hill and her husband Terry Hill, Craig Mavrikis and Christopher Mavrikis, a great-grandson, Spencer T. Hill, her sister, Sue Carpinella and several nephews and nieces.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 12:45 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. The Rev. George Hankins-Hull, Spiritual Care Coordinator of the LRGHealthcare will officiate.
