Marguerite E. Aldrich

Laconia——-Mrs. Marguerite E. Aldrich, 95, formerly of 25 Union Avenue, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Thursday, April 18, 2002. She was the widow of Lewis N. Aldrich who died in 1973.

Mrs. Aldrich was born March 16, 1907 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Frederick D. and Grace (Swain) Elliott. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and last worked as an accountant for Scott & Williams for 15 years, retiring in 1968.

Survivors include a son , Lewis A. Aldrich and his wife, Nancy, of Lakeport; a daughter, Eleanor A. Vittum and her husband, Kenneth, of Ellsworth, Maine; 5 grandchildren, Steven Vittum of Chicago, Illinois; Norman Aldrich of Gilford, Peter Aldrich of Chichester, Barbara Vittum of Bucksport, Maine and Elizabeth Kenney of Brunswick, Maine; 2 step grandchildren, Debra Harvey of Gilford and Vicki Van Sant of Somerville, MA; and several great grandchildren; and a long time friend, Emily (Lord) Watson of Laconia. She was predeceased by a son Richard Aldrich in 1983.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the family lot at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home, Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the charity of one’s own choice.
