Frank J. Marra

Sandwich------Frank J. Marra, 88, of 30 Mason Road died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, August 16, 2006.

Mr. Marra was born January 20, 1918 in White Plains, New York, the son of Angelo and Nicholetta (Disalvo) Marra.   

Mr. Marra served as a pilot in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII.  He lived in Rockland County, New York for several years and was employed at James Cullo & Son as a Master Marble Mechanic.  Some of his work included St. Patrick’s Cathedral, The World Trade Center, and The United Nations Building.  Mr. Marra moved to Sandwich twenty-eight years ago.    He enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with his family.  He will be mourned deeply by those who loved and surrounded him.

Survivors include his wife, Marie (Rinaldi) Marra of Sandwich; three sons,  Paul Marra and his wife, Linda, of New City, NY, Rob Marra and his wife, Evette, of Durham, NH and Stephen Marra and his wife, Gretchen,  of Moultonboro, NH; a daughter,  Christine Marra, and her husband, Blake Cullimore, of New Durham;  ten grandchildren, Brian, Lori, Robert Louis, Nicholas, Jennifer, Joseph, Emily and Julia Marra, and Josephine and Nina Rinaldi-McDonough; a brother-in-law, Richard Rinaldi, and his wife, Marilyn, of Meredith; several nephews; several nieces including, Stacey Rinaldi-McDonough and her husband, Leo, of Hampton and many cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 300 NH Rte 25, Meredith, NH on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 10:00AM by  Rev. Dennis J. Audet, Pastor of the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
