Belmont-----Steven C. Blackey, 56, of 194 Daniel Webster Highway, died at his home on Thursday, August 28, 2003.

Mr. Blackey was born December 9, 1946 in Rochester, NH, the son of Ralph and Pauline (Paquin) Blackey.

Mr. Blackey worked as a mechanic for Dupont Construction for many years. Previously he owned and operated M & S Auto in both Laconia and Belmont, NH for 10 years. He was a member of Laconia VFW and the Eagles in Somersworth, NH. He served in the United States Army and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Laura (Lashua) Blackey of Belmont; 3 sons, 3 sisters, 1 brother, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 3 from 7 to 9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday September 4, at 10:00 in the Chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH
