Terrence "T.A." A. McGowan

Belmont-----Terrence “T.A.” A. McGowan, 65, of 62 Randlet Street, died at his home on Wednesday, April 14, 2010.

Mr. McGowan was born October 25, 1944 in Lawrence, Mass., the son of Anthony V. and Mary (Bailey) McGowan. He lived in Englewood, Florida for several years before moving to Belmont ten years ago. He was self-employed in the car industry for twenty years, retiring in 1980.

Mr. McGowan was an avid New York Giants Fan as well as a Red Sox and Celtics Fan. He enjoyed boating, lobstering, and spending time with friends, Patty Emanuel and many other good friends at the Black Cat Café.

Mr. McGowan is survived by two sons, Patrick M. McGowan of Belmont, N.H. and Matthew T. McGowan of Rye, N.H.; two grandchildren, Kathryn Ann McGowan of Chester, N.H. and Ashley (McGowan ) Ross of San Diego, Calif.; a great granddaughter, Adaline Ross, of San Diego, Calif; a sister, Alice May McGowan, of Miami, Florida; a brother, John B. McGowan, of Lock Haven, Penn. and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents.

There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 3:00-6:00PM at the Black Cat Café, 17 Veterans Square, Laconia, N. H. All friends and family are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, N.H. 03101.
