Beatrice "Betty" M. Laurent

Laconia----Beatrice “Betty” M. Laurent 87, formerly of 606 Benton Drive died in Laconia on Saturday April 17, 2010. She was the widow of Roger L. Laurent who died in 1997.

Mrs. Laurent was born October 8, 1922 in Laconia the daughter of Albert and Rosalie (Morrill) Harriman. She was a life long resident of Laconia.

Mrs. Laurent graduated from Laconia High School. She had been employed at the Laconia Federal Savings and Loan, and Home Bank for many years.

Mrs. Laurent enjoyed golf, reading, playing cards and going out to eat with her friends.

Survivors include a son Roger P. “Bud” Laurent and his wife Linda of Belmont; a daughter Jo-Anne St. Jacques of Bow; 4 grandchildren Timothy Laurent and his wife Maria of Scottsboro, Alb., Lisa Phelps and her husband Jim of Laconia, Amy St. Jacques of Franklin and Heidi St. Jacques of Bow; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother Walter Harriman of Rockland, Mass; several nephews and nieces. Beside her parents and husband she was predeceased by 2 brothers Albert Harriman and Robert Harriman.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday April 20, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.

Services will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association Manchester, NH Office 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
