Mary L. (Ryan) Swormstedt

Laconia-----Mary L. (Ryan) Swormstedt, 65, of 45 Sanborn Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Mary was the widow of Michael J. Swormstedt who died in 1987.

Mary was born October 10, 1944 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of Lawrence and Irene (Carrigan) Ryan and was a lifelong resident of Laconia/Lakeport. She was a graduate of Laconia High School and had been employed at the Laconia Savings Bank for thirteen years, retiring in February, 2010.
Mary was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports.

Survivors include two sons, Michael W. Swormstedt and his wife, Monique, and James A. Swormstedt and his wife, Randy, all of Laconia; a daughter, Kelli L. Swormstedt Keenan, and her husband, Kory, of Gilford; seven grandchildren, Matt Swormstedt, Cali Swormstedt, Macy Swormstedt, Sidney Swormstedt, Sofia Swormstedt, Tanner Keenan and Olivia Keenan; her mother, Irene (Carrigan) Patten, of Laconia; three sisters, Judy Ryan, Sandy LaPierre and her husband, Roger, and Jeannie Day and her husband, Norman,; a brother and sister-in-law, James “Sonny” & Tammy Ryan, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Ryan.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H.

Private burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
