Belmont----- Elinore R. Vorse, 90, of 78 Wildlife Blvd. Belmont, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Saturday April 12, 2008.

Mrs. Vorse was born July 19, 1917 in Leominster, MA the daughter of Cornelius A. and Mary (Davis) Scully.

Elinore graduated from Leominster High School and Fitchburg State College. She was a college librarian at SUNY Potsdam, NY, for 19 years, retiring in 1983 to Belmont.

Elinore was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont. She enjoyed skiing, golfing and horseback riding.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Walter J. Vorse of Belmont; a son, Brian T. Vorse and his wife Lorraine of Jericho, VT; 2 daughters, Patricia M. Lauber of Cheyenne, WY and Eileen M. Wilkinson of Springfield, MA; 5 grandchildren, Tanya Wilkinson of  Lake Balboa CA, Cariel Wilkinson of Springfield MA, Andan Lauber and his wife Meg of Campbell CA, Jennifer Vorse of Summerville MA, and Colin Vorse of Olean NY;  several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Claire and Paul Janda of Leominster, MA.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery, Leomister, MA at 2:15 PM.
