Mary Ellen Lacey Send a condolence note

Laconia---Mary Ellen Lacey, 82, died peacefully on April 7, 2008 at Saint Francis Nursing Center after a valiant battle against cancer.

Mary Ellen was born November 11, 1925 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of John J. and Olive A. (Laflamme) McDonough.

Mary Ellen was a life long resident of Laconia and was a x-ray technician at the Laconia Hospital for many years.  She took great pride in providing a comfortable home life for her family, enjoyed working in the yard to stay energized and loved knitting for family and friends.

Mary Ellen was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport.

Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Lacey, of Laconia; two sons, Thomas Lacey of Belmont and Timothy Lacey of Laconia; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Lacey, of Laconia; two grandchildren, Sean T. Lacey of Belmont and Ryan Lacey of Canterbury and a close  cousin, Phyllis Hoey of Belmont.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:30AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. Please use the Whipple Avenue entrance.

Burial will be held later in the spring at the family lot in St. John’s Cemetery, Tilton, N.H.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Ellen’s name can be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246 or to Lakes Region General Hospital, Oncology Department, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
