George Hilliard Send a condolence note

Belmont-----George Hilliard, 83, of 81 Depot Street, died at his home on Friday, April 4, 2008, surrounded by his loving family.       

George was born February 15, 1925 in Laconia, NH, the son of Erwin and Marion (Constant) Hilliard. He had been a resident of Belmont for the past 54 years coming from Virginia.

George worked as a machinist for Scott & Williams for twenty six years.  He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Wilkins-Smith Post #1 for 43 years. George enjoyed Bingo and making wood crafts. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Ruth (Ellsworth) Hilliard of Belmont; one son, Robert Hilliard and his wife, Sharon, of Kentucky; two daughters, Joanne Guay and her husband, Kip, and Alice Huntoon and her husband, Stan both of Meredith; four grandchildren, Tara, Joshua, Brent and Melaine; five step grandchildren; Samantha, Megan, Chris, Shannon and Becky; three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and by five sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 10:00-12:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.  A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00PM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Asscociation, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, NH Office, 1 Bedford Farms Drive Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110.
