Donald F. Jacques

Laconia-----Donald F. Jacques, 74, of 124 School Street, Lakeport, died at the VA Medical Center, White River Jct., Vermont on Monday, April 30, 2007.

Mr. Jacques was born May 7, 1932 in Laconia, NH, the son of Raymond R. and Alma Irene (Miller) Jacques.

Mr. Jacques served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was a life long resident of Laconia and was employed by the Laconia School District for thirty-five years.  He was a guidance counselor at Memorial Middle School, retiring in 1994.

Mr. Jacques was a life time member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876, NEA and IABO.  He was a basketball official for twenty-five years and also was a referee for soccer.  He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports and was a big fan of Sachems Football.

Survivors include his wife, Kristina (Kabachis) Jacques, of Lakeport; two sons, Tracy Jacques of Center Harbor, NH and Kurt Norris of Virginia; four daughters, Cindy Jacques of Canterbury, Stacie LeBlanc of Laconia, Sarah Lamontagne of Gilford, and Kelli Lamontagne of Concord; four grandchildren, Conner, Talia, Matthue, Kurtis; three brothers, Ronald Jacques of Laconia, Floyd Jacques of Maine and Richard Jacques of Belmont and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece and a nephew.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 5:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH followed by a funeral service at 7:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
