Joseph "Joe" H. Lesieur

Gilford-----Joseph “Joe” H. Lesieur, 76, of 303 Old Lakeshore Road, died suddenly at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, April 17, 2006.

Mr. Lesieur was born August 10, 1929 in Manchester, NH, the son of Mabel (Boughner) Canney and Henry Lesieur. He was raised in Boston and attended Boston University. He was a Staff Sgt. in the U. S. Air Force and served from 1946-1953. He was stationed in Alaska. He later was employed by the Boston Herald, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Lesieur moved to Gilford nine years ago. He was a member of the Gilford Hills Tennis and Fitness Club.

Mr. Lesieur is survived by several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Yvonne Somers, Lorraine Letscher, Eileen Tsetseranos and Joyce Levasseur-Rasmussen.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
