Laconia-----Mrs. Regina M. Joyal, 84, of 91 Pine Street, died at her home on Friday, April 11, 2003.

Mrs. Joyal was born July 27, 1918 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Adelard and Helen (Dussault) Mercier. She lived in the Lakes Region all of her life and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Mrs. Joyal loved to do crossword puzzles and enjoyed bird watching and gardening. She was known for her green thumb. She was a loving and devoted wife for 61 years.

Survivors include her husband, Julien V. Joyal of Laconia; three daughters, Barbara Miner of Penacook, Patricia Joyal of Lochmere and Tiffany Luther of Laconia; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Mercier of Pennsylvania. a sister, Rita Durgin of Franklin, NH; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Mercier, who died June, 2001.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 14, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 10:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
