Alfonse Bersuch

Ashland, NH-------Alfonse Bersuch, 72, of 45 Mill Street, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin, NH on Wednesday, April 2, 2003.

Mr. Bersuch was born April 15, 1930 in Manhattan, New York, the son of George and Frieda (Kloess) Bersuch.

Mr. Bersuch served in the U. S. Marine Corps on the U.S.S. Little Rock from 1947-1951. He was a police officer for the New York City Police Department for twenty-five years and lived in Brentwood, Long Island, NY before moving to Ashland, NH 23 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen (Van Soest) Bersuch of Ashland, NH: two daughters, Donna Pellegrino and Bonnie Merkel, both of Boca Raton, Florida; four grandchildren, JoAnne Merkel, Kimberly Merkel, Richard Merkel and Joseph Pellegrino all of Boca Raton, Florida; two sisters, Edith Coar and Linda Guthrie, both of Maryland and one nephew, Ryan Guthrie. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (Drewes) Bersuch.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on April 4, 2003 at 3:00 PM at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
