Eugenia "Dolly" M. Whedon

Laconia, NH-----Eugenia “Dolly” M. Whedon, 87, of 177 Morningside Drive, died at Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center on Friday, November 2, 2007.

Mrs. Whedon was born October 19, 1920 in Laconia, New Hampshire, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine (LaFrenire) O’Mara.

Mrs. Whedon lived most of her life in Laconia and also lived ten years in Concord.  She was employed in the office at Scott & Williams and was also employed at the Kinsman Manufacturing Company.

Mrs. Whedon was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was a former member of the Ladies’ Guild and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Marshall D. Whedon, Jr., of Laconia; three daughters, Marcia A. St. Louis of Tilton, Jean M. Baker of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Ginger A. Ainsworth and her husband, Bill, of Sanbornton; a son, Jim M. Whedon, and his wife, Kathy, of Unity; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Therese Poire-Bedard, of Laconia and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whedon was predeceased by seven brothers and five sisters and also by a son, Thomas M. Whedon, in 2003. 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 1:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church.

Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
