Mary E. Wallace

Laconia-----Mary E. Wallace, 83, formerly of 25 Union Avenue, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin Friday, November 9, 2007. She had been a resident of Mt. Ridge Health Care Center, Franklin since 2006. She was the widow of Arthur A. Wallace who died in 1997.
Mrs. Wallace was born February 2, 1924 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Forrest and Mabel (Holmes) Gault. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was employed at the Nighswander Law Offices for many years.

Mrs. Wallace was a member of the South Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Jean Laro and husband, Roger, of Andover, NH and Mary Ruth Allen and her husband, Richard, of Oregon; a son, John Swain, and his wife, Donna, of Laconia; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, James Pulsifer and Robert Jewett; by four brothers, Lewis Gault, Forrest Gault, Robert Gault and Reggie Gault and by a sister, Forestine Herbert.

According to Mrs. Wallace’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH. Mrs. Wallace’s cousin, Rev. Peter MacLean of Colchester, Vermont, will officiate.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
