Mr. George Armand Kuchinsky

BELMONT--- Mr. George Armand Kuchinsky, 77, of Pine Gardens Mobile Home Park, died peacefully at home on May 9, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving wife, Carol, and daughter, Brenda, by his side.

Mr. Kuchinsky was born July 13, 1931 in Laconia, NH. He was the son of Frank William Kuchinsky and Christina (Bisson) Kuchinsky.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kuchinsky was employed at Laconia Malleable Iron Company for many years and also employed by Aavid Engineering, Carpenter & Patterson, and Kmart Corporation.

Mr. Kuchinsky enjoyed many hobbies during his lifetime. He never stopped working even after his retirement. He continued to provide yard care for many friends and neighbors at Pine Gardens Mobile Home Park as well as providing services at the Baker River Campground in Plymouth, NH where he camped during the summers for many years. He loved to create lawn ornaments with his woodworking equipment, go fishing, find yard sales, and “tinker” with other things. He was always there to lend a helping hand, to provide advice and help in any capacity for his friends and family.

Mr. Kuchinsky had a lifetime love for collecting Model RC Airplanes. He loved to skillfully create and fly his airplanes with family members and friends and will often be remembered for his quick laugh when one of his models decided to be uncooperative and crash after hours of painstaking work creating it He would always be right back at it. His quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Mr. Kuchinsky is survived by his wife, Carol (Moore) Kuchinsky, of Belmont, who was by his side, faithfully caring for him at home in his final months; his only brother, Francis “Sonny” Kuchinsky, and his wife, Virginia, of Rumney; sisters, Agnes Robertson of Campton NH and Elaine Anderson also of Campton, NH; his sons, George N. Kuchinsky of Northfield, Brian M. Kuchinsky and his wife, Kathy, of Northfield, Daniel R. Kuchinsky and his wife, Susan, of Andover, Frank W. Kuchinsky of Franklin, Glenn Kuchinsky and his wife, Talli, of Groveton, NH and Mark A. Kuchinsky of Maine; daughters include, Brenda M. Holland and her husband, Ernest, of Alton, NH, Kelli A. Pliskaner and her husband, John, of Northfield, Vicki L. Ewens and her husband, Brad, of Lochmere and Wendy E. Hill and her husband, Roy, of Lochmere and a stepson, Dave Follansbee, of Manchester. He is also survived his brothers- in- law, Armand Morin of Belmont, NH, Raymond Morin of Tustin, California, Alfred Morin of Portland, Maine and Roger Morin of Belmont; sisters- in- law, Shirley Morin of Belmont and Pauline (Morin) Gallant of Laconia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kuchinsky was predeceased by his first wife of 50 years, Sally M. (Morin) Kuchinsky, in 2000 and a step-father, George Gilson, of Thornton, NH.

At Mr. Kuchinsky’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Community Health and Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia NH 03246.

The Family would like to send Special Thanks to Dr. Aronson, Dr. Catcher and Heidi Loring from Community Health and Hospice as well as Gail, Jen and Carol who helped care for Mr. Kuchinsky during his illness and gave us strength when we most needed it. To all the family members – the unselfish giving of time and compassion and companionship you gave to Dad during the past few months will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by his family.
