Charles Thomas Jones

Alton, NH------Charles Thomas Jones, 68, of 236 Frank C. Gilman Highway, died at his home on Monday, May 25, 2009.

Mr. Jones was born May 8, 1941 in North Adams, Mass., the son of Alden S. and Anna B. (McGinnis) Jones.

Mr. Jones served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Army National Guard. He lived in Ipswich, Mass for several years before moving to Alton, N.H. twenty-five years ago. Mr. Jones was owner of C.T. Jones, Inc. for thirty-five years, retiring in January, 2007.

Mr. Jones was a member of the American Legion Post 72, and was Mason and a member of the Bektash Shriners. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Farmington Fish & Game Club. He also enjoyed cabinet making and woodworking.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 19 years, Julie (Abbott) Jones, of Alton; two daughters, Kimberly Ervin of Salisbury, Mass. and Heather Abbott of Laconia; five grandchildren, Ryan Ervin, John Ervin, Asialyn Hobbs, Justin Gasper and Nakayla LaCroix; a brother, Lawrence Jones and his wife Mary of North Adams, Mass.; two sisters, Patricia Tomkewitz and her husband Matt and Gail Dix, all of North Adams, Mass. and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Alden Jones, Jr., Donald Jones and Richard Jones, Sr. and by a sister, Priscilla Marchegianni.

Calling hours will be held Friday May 29, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 30, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

Burial will follow in the family lot in New Riverside Cemetery, Alton, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice 780 N. Main Street Laconia, NH 03246.
