Eileen Perriam Bell

Laconia, NH-----Eileen Perriam Bell, 91, of the Taylor Community of Laconia, New Hampshire, died on Monday, May 25, 2009.

Mrs. Bell was born July 14, 1917 in Sutton, Surrey, England, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Keith) Perriam. She resided in Rutland, VT, Concord, N.H., New York City, Braintree, Mass. and most recently in Wolfeboro, N.H. before moving to the Taylor Community in Laconia in 1998.
Mrs. Bell graduated from Rutland High School in 1934 and had attended Rutland Business College. She had been employed by the Zurich Insurance Company in Concord, N.H. and New York City. She was also self-employed as a dressmaker in Braintree, Mass. She was primarily a homemaker and mother: a talented seamstress, who also enjoyed outdoor activities, traveling, playing bridge and writing poetry.

Mrs. Bell is survived by three children, her daughter, Judith B. Bent, and her husband, Bruce, of Scituate, Mass.; two sons, Andrew P. Bell, and his wife, Janice (Moreschi) of Freehold, New Jersey and David A. Bell and his wife, Susan (Cedrone), of Lakeville, Mass.; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a cousin, Mrs. Richard Kirby, of St. Leonards on Sea, Sussex, England. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-three years, Philip R. Bell, who died in 1996 and by her sister, Marjorie Porter of Cupertino, California.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:30am. Rev. David W. Bell of Laconia will officiate. Burial will follow,

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Manchester NH Office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH, 03101 or to the American Cancer Society, Two Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, N.H. 03110.
