Belmont-----A. Suzanne Ackerman, 84, of 151 Lamprey Road, died at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith on Saturday, May 16, 2008. She was the widow of Wendell D. Ackerman who died in 2006.

Mrs. Ackerman was born April 18, 1925 in Laconia, N.H, the daughter of Ralph and Agnes (Saunders) Wood. She lived in Hill, N.H. for many years before moving to Belmont where she had lived for over twenty years.

Mrs. Ackerman was an artist and was self-employed as a tole painter. She was a member of the N.H. League of Artists.

Mrs. Ackerman is survived by a son, Eric Ackerman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren, Melissa Bilodeau of North Carolina and Alexandra Ackerman of Virginia; two great grandchildren, Nicole Clairmont and Aaro Clairmont; three nephews, Steven Wood of Gilmanton, Mark Wood of Walton, N. J. and Michael Wood of Arizona. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Gail Blanchard.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A private service will be held at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D. W. Highway, Boscawen, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of N.H., 20 Warren Street, Suite 4, Concord, N.H. 03301.
