Gilford-----Russell G. Buker, 82, of 9 Sargent Place, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, September 3, 2009.

Mr. Buker was born December 8, 1926 in Littleton, N.H., the son of George & Helen (Gilman) Buker. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII and had lived in Laconia for many years before moving to Gilford in 2002. He was self-employed as a financial adviser.

Mr. Buker was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed yard sales, antique boats and skiing.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mason R. and Catharine M. Buker of Delanco, New Jersey and Michael T. and Joyce K. Buker of Concord; five grandchildren, Michael J. Buker, Matthew R. Buker, Shane M. Buker, Casey M. Buker and Thomas C. Buker; four great grandchildren, Cole Buker, Morgan Buker, Cavan Buker and Daniel Mosca; his longtime, beloved companion, Evelyn M. Pivirotto, of Gilford and her daughter, Alicia Gorrell, of Meredith and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sally Mason Buker, in 2002.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 12:30PM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H.

Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 9 Erie Drive Suite 101, Natick, MA 01760.
