Laconia-----Robert L. Partridge, Sr., 78, of 613 Benton Drive, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.

Mr. Partridge was born April 3, 1930 in Norwood, Mass., the son of Harold and Margaret L. (Cathcart) Partridge.

Mr. Partridge served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Partridge was a long time resident of the Norwood/Foxboro, Mass. area before moving to Laconia in 2000. Mr. Partridge was employed at Don & Wally’s Service Center in Norwood for twenty years, managed the Walpole Street Garage, and retired from Browne’s Garage in 1994. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2452, Norwood, Mass.

Mr. Partridge was a member of the Gilford Community Church. He enjoyed woodworking and antique automobiles. His 1937 Packard was his pride and joy.

Mr. Partridge is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara J. (Pierce ) Partridge, of Laconia; two sons, Robert L. Partridge, Jr. of Palm Harbor, Florida and Bradford C. Partridge of West Barnstable, Mass.; a daughter, Pamela J. Fothergill, of Franklin, Mass.; four grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Partridge of Providence, R. I., Derek P. Partridge of Tampa, Florida, Jessica G. Fothergill of Medford, Mass. and Sean W. Fothergill of Franklin, Mass.; two brothers, Harold C. Partridge of Tampa, Florida and Richard C. Partridge of Leominster, Mass.; a sister, Nancy E. Laliberte, of Wrentham, Mass. and many nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, N.H. Rev. Michael Graham, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246 or to the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH 03249. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. is in charge of the arrangements.
