Belmont, N.H.-----Peter M. “Shotgun” Kontos, 49, of 38 Champagne Avenue, died at his home on Monday, September 22, 2008 along with his two dogs, Jazmen and Diesel.

Peter was born November 2, 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Mickael and Josephine (Prato) Kontos.

Peter was a resident of Arlington, Mass. before moving to Belmont, N.H. eleven years ago.

Peter was a talented artist who specialized in custom artwork on cars and motorcycles. He was very supportive of Our Troops. He was an avid motorcyclist and an avid collector of specialty firearms and knives.

Peter was one charming “son of a gun” and will be greatly missed by all who have crossed his path. He was the devoted husband of Holly (Nelson) Kontos, of Belmont; the proud father of two sons, Peter Michael Kontos, Jr. of Billerica, Mass. and Jacob Scott of Concord, N.H.; the loving son of Josephine Kontos, of Arlington, Mass., a caring brother and brother-in-law to Kathy & Lou Lashon, of Northwood, N.H. and a favorite uncle to Taryn and Curtis. He is also survived by his Aunty Betty, Thea Klara and many cousins and his former wife, Trish Scott, of Concord, N.H. He was predeceased by his father, Mickael Kontos.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 1:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Veterans Home-Activities Fund, 139 Winter Street, Tilton, N.H. 03276 or to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N.H. 03247.
