Laconia-----Rudolph A. Cartier, 72, of 934 N. Main Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, September 5, 2008.

Mr. Cartier was born October 10, 1935 in Laconia, N.H., the son of Leonelle J. and Almande D. (Lavoie) Cartier.

Mr. Cartier was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was a self-employed painter. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed wood carving.

Mr. Cartier is survived by his wife, Annabell E. (Demar) Cartier, of Laconia; a son, David Cartier, of Laconia; five daughters, Terri Marceau and her husband, Peter, of Laconia, Susan Cartier and her significant other, Dennis Sorbie, of Lochmere, Amy Briggs and her husband, Richard, of Tilton, Elizabeth Edmondson of Laconia and Kimberly Snow and her husband, Peter, of Laconia; seven stepchildren, Cindy Lamontagne, Brenda Rowan, Kimberly St. George, Karen Gray, April Tyrrell, Kelly Hunt and Jodi Cannuli and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Triantafilu of Dunedin, Florida, Rita Paquette, of Florida and Annette Lessard of Concord; one brother, Henry Cartier, of Brooklyn, New York and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cartier was predeceased by a sister, Maria D. Elwell, by a brother, Robert Cartier, and by three stepchildren, Kathy L. Gray, Richard Gray III and Deborah Gray.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:30AM also at the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service at 1:00PM at the N. H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Children’s Foundation, PO Box 6123, Lakeport, NH 03247.
