Lloyd E. Reasoner, Jr.

Belmont-----Lloyd E. Reasoner, Jr., 69, of 100 Scenic Drive, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, September 26, 2007.

Mr. Reasoner was born January 28, 1938 in Concord, N. H., the son of Lucille Maria (Benoit) and Lloyd E. Reasoner, Sr.  He lived in California for eleven years before moving back to New Hampshire.  He lived in Tilton prior to moving to Belmont fifteen years ago.

Mr. Reasoner served in the N. H. National Guard for eighteen years.  He was employed as a machinist and a draftsman.  Mr. Reasoner was an ordained minister and in the 1970’s was a youth pastor in Concord.  Mr. Reasoner retired in 1996.

Mr. Reasoner was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church, Loudon, N. H.  He volunteered as a Belknap County senior companion.  His many interests included fishing, hunting, writing poetry, cribbage, politics, swimming, genealogy and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Ann Kimball, of Belmont; three sons, Lawrence Scott Reasoner of Virginia, Michael Dennis Reasoner of Brookline, N. H. and Glenn Corey Reasoner of Plymouth; three daughters, Sheryl Lynn Reasoner,  Christina May King and Michelle Darlene Reasoner, all of Manchester, N. H.; a stepson, Edward Allen Carroll and his wife, Diane, of Concord, N. H.; six grandchildren, Jesse, Cassandra, David, Nicole, Brianna and Sammy; two step grandchildren, Crystal and Jeffery; six great grandchildren; a brother, Peter Ellis Reasoner, of  Minnesota; two sisters, Patricia Ann Reasoner and Elizabeth Lucille Larabee, both of Vermont; three nephews and three nieces.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Reasoner was predeceased by his first wife, Myrna Lee Reasoner.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, N. H.  Rev. Paul Clow, Pastor of the Landmark Baptist Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Landmark Baptist Church Building Fund, 103 Chichester Road, Loudon, N. H. 03307.
