Dorothy S. Hawthorne

Belmont-----Dorothy S. Hawthorne, 76, of 149 Dutile Road, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin on Tuesday, September 11, 1007.

Mrs. Hawthorne was born May 12, 1931 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of Eftim and Emma (Vasil) Stefan.  She was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and was employed at Scott & Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Paul A. Hawthorne, Jr. of Belmont, N. H.; two sons, Marc Trendell of Belmont and Lance Trendell of Keene; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Currier, of Concord and two nieces, Boonie White of Bedford and Pamela Sheppard of Arizona.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawthorne was predeceased by a brother, Major Thomas Eftim Stefan and by a sister, Ethel Arruda.

According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Burial will be in the family lot in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, N. H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Manchester, N. H. office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, N. H 03101 or to one’s own favorite charity.
