Henry B. Davis

Hill-----Henry B. Davis, 93, of 269 N. H. Rte 3A and formerly of Pease Road, Meredith, died at his home on Thursday, September 6, 2007.  Mr. Davis was the widower of Grace L. (Bannister) Davis who died in 1973.

Mr. Davis was born November 25, 1913 in Chelsea, MA, the son of William R. and Ethel B. (Binney) Davis.  He was raised and educated in Massachusetts.   

Mr. Davis was a Staff Sgt. in the U. S. Army during WWII.  He lived in Arlington, Mass. for many years before moving to New Hampshire in 193l.  Mr. Davis was employed at the New Hampton School, New Hampton, N. H. from 1946 until retiring in 1973 due to ill health.

Mr. Davis was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Paul H. and Dorothy Davis, of Hill, N. H.; a granddaughter and her husband, Caroline and Michael Hines, of Hill, N. H.; a grandson and his wife, Jeffrey and Pamela Davis, of Sanbornton, N. H.; three great grandchildren, Karissa Davis, Danielle Davis and Ethan Davis, all of Sanbornton, N. H.; several nephews and nieces and many friends.   

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 4:30 PM at the Meredith Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rte 3 North, Holderness, N. H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurse Association, 75 Chestnut Street, Franklin, N. H. 03235 or to the Meredith Public Health Nursing Association, 286 D. W. Highway, Meredith, N. H. 03253.
