Donna Simond Boyden

Belmont-----Donna Simond Boyden,  56, of 67 Plummer Hill Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, September 27, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer.

Donna was born April 25, 1951 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of Virginia Mae (Goodall) and Maurice H. Simond, Jr.

Donna was a lifetime Belmont resident and was employed at the New Hampshire Community Technical College in Laconia.  Previously, she was employed as the Food Service Director for the Shaker Regional School District.

Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was a member of  S.E.I.U. and was Union President at the Community Technical College in Laconia.  Mrs. Boyden’s many interests included crafts, baking, making candy, discount shopping, holidays, and collecting Santa Clauses.  She loved light houses, wolves, endless hours of music and the Shaw Brothers.

Survivors include her parents, Virginia Mae (Goodall) and Maurice H. Simond, Jr., of Belmont; a son, Joshua Brody, and his fiancée, Emily Kennedy, of Laconia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ryan Campbell of Belmont and Kathryn and Todd Byington of Belmont; four grandchildren, Christopher Campbell, Melany Campbell, Julie Campbell and Ethan Byington; a sister and brother-in-law,  Maureen and Christopher Zackowski of Belmont; a brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Kathleen Simond of Goffstown and five nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 1, 2007 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, Rte 11A, Gilford, N. H.   Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parrish, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

 Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rte 101 Suite 501, Bedford, N. H. 03220-5032 or to the charity of one’s own choice.
