June M. Tardif

Laconia-----June M. Tardif, 44, of 9 Emerald Drive, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, September 29, 2006, after a courageous eight year battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family and friends.

June was born June 29, 1962 in Laconia, NH the daughter of Norman A. and Rita A. (Levesque) Laurent. She was a lifelong resident of Laconia.  She graduated from Laconia High School in 1980 and was employed at Metrocast Cablevision, retiring in 2003 due to illness. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.      

June enjoyed bowling, the ocean, bingo and most of all spending time with her children, family and friends. She was a member of the Lakes Region Women’s Bowling Association and was on the Board of Directors for eight years. She also enjoyed watching her children play sports and she will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Armand T. Tardif, of Laconia; a daughter, Stephanie Tardif, of Laconia; a son, Colin Tardif, of Laconia; her mother, Rita A. (Levesque) Laurent, of Laconia; a brother, Charles Laurent, of Laconia; three sisters, Norma O’Connor of  Gilford, Patty Szuluk of Kingsport, Tenn. and Charlene Morin of Laconia; eight nephews; eight nieces; one grandnephew and two grandnieces.  She was predeceased by her father, Norman A. Laurent, in 2003 and by a brother, Thomas Laurent, in 1999.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2006 from 6-9 PM using the Carriage House entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH by Rev. Gary Kosmowski Pastor of the Church.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lakes Region General Hospital – Hemotology/Oncology Unit, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
