George "Skip" H. Lawrence

Belmont, NH----George “Skip” H. Lawrence, 74, 44 Magnolia Lane died at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on Friday, September 22, 2006 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Lawrence was born December 14, 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Major George H. USA (Ret.) and Alice (Krause) Lawrence.

Mr. Lawrence lived in Wallingford, CT. before moving to Belmont six years ago.

Mr. Lawrence was a 1954 graduate of Providence College in Providence, RI and a communicant of the St. Joseph Parish in Belmont,NH. He was a member of Classical Singing Groups and Church Choirs. He loved golfing, tennis and racquetball.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Cole) Lawrence of Belmont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Jones and her husband Stephan of Barrington, NH, Christine Scilzo and her husband Brian of Norton, MA. and Tracy Yackey and her husband Timothy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; a sister M. Judith Knecht and her husband Brian of Sun City, Florida; one nephew and three nieces.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10:00 AM.

         Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven, CT on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:00PM.

         In lieu of flowers contributions made be made to the charity of one’s choice or to St. Joseph Parish, PO Box 285, Belmont, NH 03220.
