George P. Cotnoir

Laconia---Lt. Col. Retired USAF George P. Cotnoir, 89, of 402 Darby Road, Laconia, NH died on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the St. Francis Healthcare Center.

         Mr. Cotnoir was born August 26, 1917 in Littleton, NH, the son of Prosper and Maude (Cassidy) Cotnoir.  He attended St. Rose of Lima Parochial School in Littleton, NH and graduated from Bethlehem High School in 1935. 

Mr. Cotnoir served in World War II flying B24s and later was stationed in Germany for two years.  He retired from the Air Force in 1966. After retiring, he attended California State Polytechnic College, graduating in 1971. 

Mr. Cotnoir’s first wife, Joan, died in 1992.  In 1995, he married Dorothy (Johnston) Mason.

Mr. Cotnoir is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cotnoir, of Laconia, NH and a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanelle and Ahmad Jghanbakhsh, of Arizona.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Graveside Service, with military honors, will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Ballard, California.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Healthcare Center, Activities Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246
