Laconia, NH------Philip A. Woodbury Jr., 70 of Mass Ave Laconia died suddenly Friday, September 30, 2005 in Laconia. He was born April 17, 1935 in Arlington, Massachusetts, the son of Philip A. and Obeline C. (Fredette) Woodbury.

He attended Arlington High School and went on to obtain a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He worked in aircraft missile design for several high-tech firms before starting his own business, Home Products of N.E., which he operated until 1996. For the last several years he worked part-time for MOP (Multiple Offenders Program) as a valued employee and mentor. Mr. Woodbury was most proud of his accomplishments as a loving husband, father, step-father, adoring grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and mentor. He was well known in the community and throughout New Hampshire for his 25 years of sobriety and his selfless efforts to help others through his fellowship in Alcoholics Anonymous and his contributions at MOP.

He loved being behind the wheel for a great road trip. He enjoyed Skiing, teaching family members to ski, camping, walking, observing nature and getting a good yard-sale bargain. His playful nature brought a great deal of joy and laughter to all those around him. He believed in seeking out the good in others and building people’s spirits. He was a very spiritual person. The integrity, sense of humor, compassion, grace, dedication and love which defined his life shall be greatly missed but will live on in all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years Mickey (Sanchez-Lacey) Woodbury, of Laconia, four children, Rosemarie A Pelletier and her husband Rene, Mr. Phillip A. Woodbury III, Mr. F. Thomas Woodbury all of Nashua and Mr. John E. Woodbury and his wife Tina of Laconia, three step-daughters Debra Lacey, Rindy Lacey and Diana Lacey all of Laconia, three sisters and two brothers-in-law Pat Sullivan of Dallas, TX, Lois and John Doherty of Burlington, MA, Christine and Robert Sewell of Reading, MA. His former wife Rose M. Woodbury of Nashua, eleven grandchildren Philip A. Woodbury IV, Jared Pelletier, Jason Pelletier, John E. Woodbury Jr., Alyssa Lacey, Nikki Fain, Patrick McKeen, Matthew McKeen, Tiphany Marsh, Travis Marsh, Nathen Cutting and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday October 4 2005 for 2-4 &7-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday October 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport. The Rev. George Soberick, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Area Agency Region 6 144 Canal Street, Nashua, NH 03064.
