Doris Cooper Weaver

Concord-----Doris Cooper Weaver, 92, died at her home in Concord on Sunday, September 11, 2005. She was the widow of Frank M. Weaver, who died in 1986.

Mrs. Weaver was born July 27, 1913 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Alfred D. and Edna (Warriner) Cooper. She attended Beaver College in Pennsylvia. She lived most of her married life in Glen Ridge, New Jersey before retiring to Gilford, NH in 1976. She had resided in Concord since 2002.

Mrs. Weaver was a member of the Gilford Community Church.

She enjoyed gardening and playing bridge, but mostly, she enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include two sons, William Weaver and his wife, Mary, of Merrimack, NH; Richard Weaver and his wife, Elizabeth, of Portsmouth, NH; one daughter, Judith Brown and her husband, Dan, of Gore, VA; four grandchildren, Janice Dodd and her husband, Kevin of Bristol, VA, Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Misty, of Winchester, VA; John Weaver of Boston, MA; Lauren Weaver of Portsmouth. NH and three great-grandchildren, Meagan and Alyssa Dodd and Cooper Brown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Carroll.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Gilford Community Church, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH. Rev. Michael Graham, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247, the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH 03249, the Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association, PO Box 1797, Concord, NH 03301 or C.R.V.N.A. Hospice House, 240 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
