Gerard J. Trudel

Meredith-----Gerard J. Trudel, 56, of 64 Winona Road died at his home on Friday, September 2, 2005.

Mr. Trudel was born March 7, 1949 in Ipswich, MA, the son of Jacques and Lucia (Vermette) Trudel. Mr. Trudel was raised in Ipswich and was a graduate of Ipswich High School and the Laconia (NH) Technical School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Tilton, NH. Mr. Trudel lived in Laconia for fifteen years before moving to Meredith ten years ago. He was a correctional officer for the Laconia and Concord State Prisons for seventeen years and also worked at the Laconia State School.

Mr. Trudel was a family man and a great Dad. He enjoyed fishing at the camp in Maine

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Thompson) Trudel; three daughters, Jessica Trudel and Joana Trudel, both of Meredith and Michelle Trudel, of Gloucester, MA; one grandchild, Jack Anthony Brooks of Tilton; a brother, Denis Trudel of Ipswich, MA and a sister, Anne-Marie Salvi of Cape Coral, Florida.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 7:00PM at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, School Street, Tilton, NH. Pastor Richard Anderson will officiate.

Burial was held in the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 1309 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
