Howard J. Ford

Laconia---Howard J. Ford, 85, of 164 Endicott Street East # 5, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home Saturday September 3, 2005.

Mr. Ford was born September 21, 1919 in Suffield, CT the son of the late Howard S. and Anne (Austin) Ford. He served in the US Army during WWII.

Mr. Ford had been a resident of Laconia since 1990 coming from Suffield. He had been employed by United Airlines for 21 years in operations at Bradley International Airport. He had formerly been employed by Eastern Airlines for a number of years.

Mr. Ford was a communicant of Our Lady of The Lakes Church. He was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of the VFW Post # 1670. He enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Mary (Tozier) Ford of Laconia; a brother Paul Ford of Suffield, CT.; a sister Grace Hanrahan of Suffield, CT.; many nephews and nieces.

Callings hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia Wednesday September 7, 2005 from 3-5 PM using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of The Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street Laconia Thursday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society POBox 6123, Laconia NH 03247-6123.
