James C. Thompson

Laconia----James C. Thompson, 84 of 25 Union Ave. Apt. 301 and formerly of Watson Road Gilford died at the Genesis Eldercare Laconia Center Friday October 16, 2009.
Jim was born December 24, 1924 in Laconia the son of Archie and Mable Thompson. He was a life long resident of the Lakes Region. He served in the US Navy during WWII.
Jim had been employed at Burns Machine, Meredith for 8 years retiring in 1990. He had formerly been employed at Scott & Williams for 35 years.
Jim was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He was a life member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876.
Survivors include his wife Olive (Sorrell) Thompson of Laconia; a daughter Patricia Houle and her husband Roger of Bedford; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother William Thompson of Englewood, Fla.; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Beside his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Theresa (Breton) Thompson in 2001 and a daughter Sue Ann Thompson.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church Wednesday October 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice 780 North Main Street Laconia, NH 03246.
